Positions in Biomedical Ethics Research - Post-Bac and Summer Programs
The Mayo Clinic Biomedical Ethics Program seeks applicants for its 2023 Summer Undergraduate Program in Biomedical Ethics Research and its 2023-2024 Post-Baccalaureate Research Program (see attached flyers). Note that the deadline for the post-baccalaureate program is February 7, 2023; the deadline for the summer program is January 16, 2023.
The 10-week summer program places each student with a faculty mentor to work on a particular research project for the summer. In addition, students participate in a summer bioethics curriculum, which includes educational sessions on research methods and career development meetings with program faculty. The post-baccalaureate program includes many of these same elements, as well as a mentored “gap year” experience for students who work as research assistants on empirical bioethics projects. Compensation is provided for both types of positions.
Typically large interest is from students who come from premed backgrounds, but students from all disciplines are welcome to apply.
