Personal Bio I'm from Miami, FL and did my undergraduate education at HWS, a small liberal arts college in western NY. I received my Master's degree from Princeton in 2014 and stayed at Princeton to pursue a PhD. My research interests lie broadly in Security and Systems, and I'm currently working on an application security project related to the internet-of-things. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities, cooking and practicing martial arts.
Fun Fact I have a black belt in Taekwondo.
Research Keywords Security, Operating Systems, Network Systems
Research Pitch Many computer systems are designed to be efficient and easy to use, leaving their security as an afterthought, so at a high level, I study how we can design and build systems that include security as part of their design. An emerging technology is the so-called "internet of things" (IoT), which is the notion of enhancing our lives and businesses using small, Internet-connected devices that use a multitude of sensors. One major security and privacy concern with IoT is that these devices leak sensitive information about their users and environment. My current research seeks to design and build a system to secure the applications running on IoT devices against unauthorized access and private data leaks.
