Personal Bio I was born in Northern Virginia. When I was 12 I went on my first trip to Europe. I had a long layover in Charles de Gaulle on the way home and my mom arranged for a cab to drive me around Paris for an hour and a half. Fifteen years later and Paris is still really all I want to talk about. I also do l'Avant-Scene.
Fun Fact I was once interviewed for French TV about my thoughts on tacos.

Research Keywords Paris, Graffiti, Viral media
Research Pitch Architecture doesn't just organize space; it also structures what you can see and hear in the city. In this way it's a kind of media system. What gets erased from the city by architecture can be problematic: sometimes it's a racial or economic group, sometimes it's the government's surveillance apparatus. My research looks at different ways hidden features of the city can be made perceptible by those who aren't in a position to influence urban planning at the governmental level. I look at things like graffiti, parkour, protest marches, and viral media.
