Personal Bio I was born in PA, moved to Israel at the age of 3 and lived there most of my life. After a military service in the intelligence corps I studied at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and received my B.Sc in CS, Bioinformatics. During my third undergrad year I started working at Qualcomm as a SW Intern. I worked there for two years until I graduated and became a full time Engineer. I moved to Princeton to start my grad school journey together with my husband, also a grad student here in Princeton (ELE). I have 2 year old twin daughters, and both me and my husband try to juggle PhD in Princeton and raising a loving family.
Fun Fact I collect dolls from around the world since I was 7 (I have more than 50), about half of the countries in the collection I visited myself!
Research Keywords Genomics, Computational Biology, Statistics
Research Pitch Proteins are the key component that results from what is written in our genetic code. Understanding the mechanism by which proteins function is beneficial for the study of diseases and for drugs development. I aim to uncover the important positions of proteins by focusing on regions shared by many proteins, called protein domains. When integrating data from more than 50,000 individuals we can highlight the important functional areas of a protein; and later integrate data from diseases such as cancer, to understand more about the forces that drives the tumor development.
