Personal Bio I'm Weston--I'm from South Carolina. I got my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Duke. After working in a consulting role for a boutique firm in Atlanta for around a year, I'm back in academia to get my Ph.D. in Neuroscience, where I hope to do research on decision-making and reward learning. I enjoy playing basketball and listen to a lot of music.
Fun Fact I was my high school football team's masco

Research Keywords Reward, decision-making, behavior
Research Pitch My current research involves studying the role of the neurotransmitter dopamine in both working memory and learning that is associated with acquiring a reward. We are using a virtual reality maze to observe the behavior of mice when they have to complete a working memory task successfully to receive a reward, and plan to use advanced imaging and recording techniques to examine how exactly dopamine aides in information integration and reward learning.
