Personal Bio I'm from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. (It means 'waterfall.') After college, I spent a few years doing research at Harvard before moving here. In my free time, I enjoy everything outdoors: hiking, camping, running, etc.
Fun Fact I have a puppy named Hazel.
Research Keywords Language. Processing. Development.
Research Pitch Given the incredible complexity of language, how are we still able to finish each other's sandwiches? If you just re-read that, you experienced an important aspect of language. We don't process word-by-word. We generate predictions about upcoming information. My research investigates the development and neural mechanisms of predictive language processing with infants, children, and adults.
